Yelverton Golf Club
Top 100 in England
Horses on courses in Dartmoor National Park!
Yelverton Golf Club is a delightful moorland course in Dartmoor National Park and offers a fantastic experience for nature lovers as there are Dartmoor Ponies and horses roaming free across the land! The course was designed in 1904 by Herbert Fowler, a renowned golf course architect in his day who also worked on hole designs at courses such as Saunton, Royal North Devon and Walton Heath. The course is a bit of a hidden gem even though it ranks in the Top 100 in England and has hosted national golf events.
The course is a 6300 yard par 71 with naturally undulating moorland terrain and clever incorporation of the mine workings, leats and natural hazards on the course. The views across Dartmoor are unrivalled.
Green fees are around £65 in the peak season but you can make a saving on your tee times by including a round at Yelverton in one of our South Devon golf tours.
Yelverton Golf Breaks
Yelverton Golf Club is around 55-60 minutes from The English Riviera, but if you don't mind making the journey you won't regret it as it is one of our favourite golf courses in the whole of the South West. We recommend including it in a Top 100 tour package or on a longer holiday where you can combine it with some local golf courses to keep journey times down.
